Austin Texas annually ranks in the top ten for highest bicycle thefts per capita in the USA. The majority of these thefts occur on or around the UT campus. The UT police department recommends the use of two different types of locking mechanisms.
We recommend at least a good quality name brand u-lock used in conjunction with a thick cable or chain.
We carry the Kryptonite brand locks that carry some form of theft insurance.
